The christmas just gone and even the most part of January seen regions throughout england covered in snow. The prolgonged process of snow turning to ice, slightly thawing and re-freezing has proved to be a hassle for homeowners in many different ways, most notably the damage it has caused to gutters and downpipes.

With the industry’s only purpose built composite door demonstration vehicle touring the country and prices starting from just £199, its no surprise there has been a surge in demand for Selecta’s composite doors.

Selecta Systems has always been keen to provide the best "customer experience", which is why they have invested £65,000 in a new demonstration vehicle, which was delivered fully equipped in early November.

Latest industry reports indicate that sales of composite doors have overtaken PVC-U panels and the gap is significantly increasing. By 2012 it is predicted 1.2m composite doors will be fitted in the UK per year, meaning there is an opportunity to really increase sales with the latest ‘must have’ product.

Composite doors are a new line of products from Selecta Systems Ltd. The German owned extruder of PVC-U window systems has set up a dedicated manufacturing facility within its nine acre site in Birmingham.

Mark Richmond, Selectas Sales & Marketing Director, was a driving force in forming the new door division. He is enthusiastic about the markets response to the Selecta composite door and expects to follow this up with the launch of bi-folding doors and ready-to-fit patio doors.

Selecta is expecting to attract many new customers for its composite doors in addition to take-up from its fabricator base, who see the product as a hassle-free add-on.

Selecta only launched their new composite door range at the end of September, but in just a few weeks sales have rocketed and the company has already produced 500 doors.
