Selecta only launched their new composite door range at the end of September, but in just a few weeks sales have rocketed and the company has already produced 500 doors.
Mark Richmond, Selecta’s sales director, commented “we are delighted with the response which follows significant investment in our composite door line. Our aim was to create a high quality range of doors with fast delivery and competitive prices - we’ve priced-pointed the composite doors to help customers win business, and its working.”
Its not all about price though. Mark has set the dedicated production facility up to enable 3 day manufacture; “fast delivery is essential in today’s market, customers just don’t want to wait for long – and now they don’t have to.”
The Selecta composite door is manufactured using the Nan Ya GRP composite door slab combined with Selecta’s award winning German engineered 70mm profiles. A Secured by Design locking system is standard and the composite door complies with the requirements of PAS 23/24. A wide range of options are also available. “We wanted to give our customers as much choice as possible – whether it’s the glass design, door colours or hardware range” added Mark.
The Selecta composite door incorporates a through-colour thermoset GRP skin moulded to a water-resistant composite stile and rail, and a CFC free polyurethane insulation core. The result is a door that will not warp, twist or delaminate while retaining the strength, durability and looks of a traditional timber door. The finishing touch is a unique snap-fit glazing cassette which means no unsightly screws.
Although the door range was launched to Selecta’s network of 450 fabricators first, it has already proved a real winner with non-Selecta customers. “We’ve had fabricators and installers from across the UK switch to the Selecta composite door in the last few weeks. We researched the market extensively before launching this range using the tried and tested Nan Ya door slab combined with 3 day turnaround and competitive pricing. It means fabricators and installers now have the tools to win the order every time – regardless of what profile system they use”.
